Paleontology alumni Chloe Harper ’23 and Nathan Cochran ’23 accepted to grad school
Both students completed Carthage’s Paleontology Program, which offers research, fieldwork, and lab experience — making candidates attractive to postgraduate programs.
Ms. Harper was accepted to a Master of Studies in Classical Archaeology at Oxford University (UK). This is a nine-month master’s program that begins in October 2023.
Ms. Harper reflected on her experiences at Carthage: “Dr. Carr and the other paleo students formed a close-knit support system that kept me going through the hardest semesters and reassured me that I could succeed in grad school.”
We also congratulate Mr. Cochran, who started his master’s program in vertebrate paleontology this fall at the University of Calgary (Alberta, Canada).
We have eleven current students in the Paleontology Program, and we hope they will be equally successful in their endeavors.
